About this role

The role of the Enrolment Officer is to complete the enrolment of identified learners on to suitable apprenticeship programmes, ensuring that both the learner and the employer fully understand the benefits and commitment of the apprenticeship.

You will be responsible for ensuring all points of the enrolment process run smoothly and in a timely, compliant manner.  You will receive lots of support from your colleagues within the business development team, and will enjoy a culture free from micro-management where you will be encouraged to grow and progress.  Safer Recruitment Safeguarding Statement As part of this role you may come into contact with young people and vulnerable adults. Role and responsibilities
  • Complete pre-enrolment tasks including Initial Assessments, collection of ID, the completion of skill scans and booking in of enrolments with the learner and employer.  
  • Responsible for the timely and effective enrolment of learners on to relevant apprenticeship programmes, either remotely or at the employer’s premises.  
  • Reiterate comprehensive Information, Advice and Guidance to all parties, ensuring that they fully understand the commitment required to complete the apprenticeship.  
  • Ensure compliance with candidate eligibility for programme in line with funding and apprenticeship guidelines  
  • Be responsible for establishing excellent relationships with both the Learner and Employer to ensure excellent customer service is delivered, thereby securing repeat business.  
  • Carry out on site enrolments of 16-18 Year olds, completing a Young Person’s Risk Assessment and ensuring that the employer has the appropriate provisions in place to support the safe working of the apprentice.  
  • Work with the Business Development Team to enrol cohorts at employer premises.  
  • Ensure the full embedding of all Equal Opportunities policies, British Values and Health & Safety requirements (including Safeguarding) are complied with.  
  • Set apprentices their Start of Learning Plan tasks, to ensure the draw down of funding from day one following enrolment.  
  • Full completion of all enrolment documents, ensuring that there are minimal errors, before uploading to the Claims department.  
  • Attend and participate in team and company meetings as required  
  • Additional duties appropriate to the post as directed by the Head of Business Development  
  • At all times to accept, understand and comply with your duty for the safeguarding and the  promotion of the welfare of all learners with whom you come into contact.  
  • Adhering to the company’s safeguarding policies and reporting procedures at all times, including the timely completion of all safeguarding related training relevant to your role 
Skills and experience
  • Ideally come from an apprenticeship or work-based learning background  
  • IAG qualification (desirable)  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills  
  • Ability to travel around East Midlands and beyond on occasion  
  • Self-motivated and able to work without supervision  
  • Resilient and able to seek new business opportunities  
  • Able to deliver work at a high standard with a strong attention to detail 
  • Ability to establish a rapport and work with clients from a range of backgrounds  
  • Assertiveness and the ability to remain calm under pressure  
  • Listening and questioning skills  
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, but also to work independently, using your initiative  
  • Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively  
  • The ability to meet targets and deadlines  
  • Excellent IT skills that include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook  
  • Preferably hold a full driving licence with access to a car
