About this role
To provide first line funding scrutiny checks against all contractual documentation submitted by the Enrollment teams. To then process accurate ILR data which supports the financial claim payments against contract milestones and outputs for a range of ESFA and other Funded Contracts.

Role and responsibilities
- To be responsible for the day to day eligibility checks, funding scrutiny, processing and administration of learner data held within the PICs database across numerous funded contracts in line with the ILR specification and funding rules
- Prepare timely submissions of error free data returns to a range of external agencies and to support audit and quality inspections
- Deal with any subcontractor queries in relations to data or the completion of funding paperwork
- Providing daily rejections reports to internal managers to account for learners across all contracts with funding scrutiny requirements before they are switched live on PICs
- Store and archive both electronic and hard copy learner records within the required systems and adhere to all times to the Retention Policy, Information Security Policy and Data Protection Act requirements
- Support operational colleagues with their understanding behind funding & eligibility requirements and drive to ‘get in right first time’
- To work with the Data and Claims Manager to produce contract reconciliations
- Use PDSATS to carry out a range of checks to ensure the funding claims are maximized and accurate
- To assist the Data and Claims manager with preparation for external audit and quality monitoring visits
- To communicate effectively with the assessment team, the business development team and operations team

- Liaise with the operation teams to ensure compliant evidence in place for claiming qualification outcomes
- Conduct daily admin tasks, monitor emails and queries coming through
- To work with colleagues to consistently improve internal practices, procedures and an efficient and effective service
- Undertake necessary training to professionally develop and keep abreast with current practices and legislation within the sector, particularly those which may impact on compliance
- Attend meeting as required
- Undertake any other routine task as requires by senior staff
Skills and experience
- Experience of using a learner records system such as PICs for use with employability and apprenticeships
- An Understanding of current DFE/ESFA funding rules and eligibility requirements
- Experience of working on government data returns for post 16 funded learner, preferably with apprenticeships and ESFA data
- In depth knowledge of the ILR process
- Knowledge of completing accurate and timely data returns
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent time management skills

- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Excellent IT skills
- Good standard of English and maths
