DBC Training Launches New Recruiter Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
As market leaders in recruitment apprenticeships, DBC Training is excited to announce the launch of the new Recruiter Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard. This new apprenticeship replaces the previous Level 2 Recruitment Resourcer and Level 3 Recruitment Consultant apprenticeship standards which are being withdrawn, offering a more streamlined and comprehensive pathway for aspiring recruiters to develop their skills and thrive in today’s recruitment industry.
The new Recruiter Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard equips learners with a robust set of competencies, covering every aspect of the recruitment process, from talent acquisition and candidate assessment to fostering long-term client relationships. It has been designed in collaboration with industry experts and reflects the latest trends and practices in the recruitment sector.
On launching the new standard, DBC’s Development Coach Rebecca Evans said: “The new Recruiter Level 3 Apprenticeship meets the needs of the modern recruiter by encompassing all aspects of effective recruitment with additional topics relating to AI and environmental impacts. Our learning activities and resources are tailored to utilise the natural attributes recruiters will be developing, with a range of written, discussion and presentation based activities throughout programme, that build the knowledge, skills and behaviours required by high-performing recruitment professionals.”
Enhanced Benefits of the Recruiter Level 3 Apprenticeship
This new standard builds on the strengths of the previous apprenticeship standards while resolving some of their limitations, providing:
Streamlined Progression
By consolidating the Level 2 and Level 3 programmes into a single standard, apprentices can now achieve a more robust and advanced qualification without the need for a staggered pathway. This eliminates redundancy in content, reducing learning time and enabling apprentices to develop into fully capable recruiters sooner.
Comprehensive Skill Development
The Level 2 standard focused heavily on resourcing, while the Level 3 standard covered client management and strategic recruitment. The new Recruiter Level 3 combines these aspects, creating a holistic programme that prepares apprentices for the full recruitment cycle. Apprentices will gain critical skills in candidate sourcing, client engagement, data analysis, compliance, and the application of technology in recruitment.
Improved Employer Outcomes
Employers benefit from having apprentices who are immediately operational in multiple aspects of recruitment, minimising gaps in their workforce. The updated standard emphasises adaptability and problem-solving, equipping learners to handle the complexities of today’s recruitment landscape.
Alignment with Industry Trends
The new standard reflects the evolving role of recruiters, including an emphasis on digital recruitment tools, diversity and inclusion strategies, and building long-term relationships with clients and candidates.
Increased Career Opportunities
With a higher-level qualification from the outset, apprentices are better positioned for career advancement into senior recruitment or management roles, for example Team Leaders and Department Managers.
