About this role
We’re seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Vocational and Employability Skills Tutor to deliver engaging training programmes across Business Administration, Customer Service and Adult Care programmes.

What is needed for this role?
To provide high quality employability and tailored training to all learners. Supporting and developing learners to gain qualifications and experience that will enhance their further education and/or career prospects.
Role and responsibilities
- Development and effective promotion of independent learning resources and flexible learning
strategies to meet learning aims
- Produce quality approved schemes of work, session plans and delivery resources as required
for class room led sector and employer led courses
- Delivery of quality facilitation, teaching, learning and assessment that encourages and
motivates learners to remain on provision
- To develop new course material to meet the needs of the learners and local labour market
- To support learners one to one with their employability needs
- To provide confidential and impartial information, advice and guidance on employment and
learning opportunities
- To manage own caseload to ensure contractual targets are met
- To ensure learner files meets contractual compliance
- Enrol learners for any required external exams
- Invigilate learners’ exams/tests where required
- Maintain awarding bodies records
- Ensure learners have access to up to date job vacancies
- Intensive support for learners with all job search activity
- To carry out learner reviews at milestones if required
- Ensure success stories are prepared, circulated and displayed
- Maintain own CPD logs
- To carry out any other duties as required
- At all times to: accept and understand your personal responsibility and comply with your duty for the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of all learners with whom you come into contact.
- Adhering to the company’s safeguarding policies and reporting procedures at all times, including the timely completion of all safeguarding related training relevant to your role.
Skills and experience
- AET/ PTLLS qualified
- Assessor qualification – desirable
- Experience and qualifications within Business Administration/Care and Customer Service
- Group delivery experience
- Experienced in preparing session plans
- Knowledge of welfare to work sector
- Knowledge of the local labour market
- Working with minimal supervision
- Able to motivate and inspire learners
- Good communication skills
- Experience of working to targets
- Experience of job matching clients
- Flexibility to travel
