Developing AI Knowledge and Confidence

Katy joined the programme to better understand the opportunities and challenges AI presents to organisations and their employees. She wanted to develop the confidence to identify practical applications for AI and understand how it can be adopted responsibly.

Throughout the course, Katy gained knowledge of AI tools, business case development, return on investment, risk management and the importance of supporting employees through technological change.

She said: “The course has given me the confidence to have more informed conversations about AI within my organisation and to look at potential applications from both a commercial and people-focused perspective.”

Putting Learning into Practice

Katy plans to use her learning at SLS to identify opportunities to improve efficiencies, reduce repetitive tasks and enable teams to focus on higher-value activities.

Her approach will focus on ensuring AI delivers genuine business value while considering potential risks, employee needs and responsible implementation.

Katy explained: “Ultimately, I would like to use what I have learned to help turn AI from something we are aware of into something we can strategically and responsibly use to improve the way we work.”

A Positive Experience with DBC Training

Katy praised the approachable delivery, flexibility and practical examples used throughout the programme. She also praised her tutor, Peter, for his knowledge of AI and its practical applications, as well as his ability to create a welcoming and engaging learning environment.

Reflecting on her experience, Katy said:

“Overall, I found the experience engaging, informative and genuinely valuable, and I would happily recommend DBC to others looking to develop their knowledge of AI in a leadership or business context.”

Her advice to anyone considering the course is simple:

“Go for it! You don’t need to be a technical expert to get value from the course; it’s about understanding the opportunities, challenges and practical applications so you can make more informed decisions as a leader.”

At DBC Training, we are proud to support learners like Katy in developing the knowledge and confidence to embrace new opportunities and prepare for the future of work.
