DBC Training is proud to announce that we have been rated “GOOD” in all areas in our latest Ofsted inspection, reaffirming our commitment to delivering high-quality training and education across all areas of our apprenticeships and adult skills provision.

The report highlights the well-planned delivery of training, strong learner support—particularly for those with SEND—and high achievement rates among both apprentices and adult learners. Ofsted praised the organisation’s positive impact, effective leadership, and continued commitment to improvement.

“Managers and tutors mostly select appropriate topics for courses and organise them well. This helps to ensure that learners and apprentices develop their knowledge and skills over time.”

The report emphasises the positive impact our training has on learners and employers, noting our strong curriculum, supportive learning environment, and the dedication of our staff to helping learners succeed.

“Adult learners and apprentices develop their knowledge and skills well. Apprentices quickly become competent in their job roles and make an impact at work, often identifying improvements and new ways of working.“

Inspectors also found that learners receive helpful careers advice, and many are supported into further learning or employment. Staff were praised for helping learners apply for jobs even after they complete their training. Leaders were acknowledged for taking successful action to improve achievement rates and enhance employer involvement in training.

“Most learners and apprentices receive sufficient careers education and guidance. Development coaches provide apprentices with useful information about skills, career paths and further education opportunities. Staff support adult learners to apply for jobs, even after they have completed their courses.”
